MORPHO + LUNA X RESCHIO
Each year in summer, I found myself yearning to return to one of my favourite places. Reschio is a place like no other. A valley of dreams.
The 3,750 acre estate is in Umbria, a part of Italy that still feels wild and unexplored compared to its sleeker, well-trodden neighbour, Tuscany. Dominated by a brooding, circular castle dotted with rambling stone farmhouses and deep, cool lakes fringed by woods of oak and chestnuts, Reschio has an untouched air. It reminds me of those far-away landscapes, all misty peaks, and pinnacles, glimpsed in a Renaissance painting.
The estate is owned and managed by the Bolza family. Count Benedikt, an architect, and his wife Donna Nencia, a Florentine artist who I have known since my childhood, are close friends and an endless source of inspiration.
Today the estate comprises the Hotel Castello di Reschio and approximately thirty farmhouses many of which are available for rent throughout the year.
This summer the excitement for me was also the opening of the 'Bottega di Reschio' - the gift shop curated by Nencia. Amongst her beautiful edit of wonderful finds and exclusivities such as handwoven Florentine sunhats, Sicilians candles, linen shawls, Venetian slippers, and homegrown delicacies from the Estate, you will be able to find a curated and exclusive selection from Morpho + Luna’s sleepwear and home linen collections.
We love this partnership and couldn't be happier to be working with Nencia on this exclusive selection.
If you're anywhere near Cortona, be sure to stop in. You don't have to be a guest at the Villas or the Castello to eat at Ristorante Alle Scuderie, a lively restaurant, and lovely bar, or visit the Bottega!
