door LA REPUBBLICA - NOVEMBER ‘24
HOMECOMING
I am so happy to share with you
After many years abroad, returning to Milan felt like coming full circle. This apartment, nestled in the heart of Milan, was created in collaboration with my dear friend Nicolò Castellini Baldissera and became an opportunity to blend memories, craftsmanship, and design into a space filled with warmth, colour, and meaningful details.
When Nicolò first walked in, the space was a blank canvas – white walls, white floors, and white ceilings. His extraordinary eye for design, colours, and textures brought a unique vibrancy to every room. By introducing soft tones, bold stripes, and an eclectic mix of pieces, he infused the space with personality. Highlights include bespoke Pictalab wall finishes, bespoke Fedoradesigns rugs, and furniture designed by Nicolò himself—such as a lacquered dining table and a console inspired by his grandfather, the legendary Milanese architect Piero Portaluppi. His instinct for colour and detail was invaluable, adding character while preserving the simplicity that first drew me to this home.
This collaboration reflects my philosophy at Morpho + Luna—a love of thoughtful design and high-quality materials that elevate and bring beauty to everyday life. Whether through interiors or textiles, my goal is always to create something harmonious, timeless, and restorative.
I truly couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful tribute to my home! You can find the full story in door by La Repubblica’s November issue.
